Since Phonak and Unitron are both owned by Sonova they share many of the same great features. If you are looking for true hands free calling with Android and iPhones, excellent sound processing, and long battery life with a budget friendly price tag, Unitron is the perfect solution. The 3s are their lowest cost option and provide the most essential features at a lower price point.

• Unitron's Speech Enhancement feature picks out speech sounds using unique identifiers and increases their signal over competing sounds in the environment. It helps to improve speech understanding in all situations. This feature is active in all four tech levels.

Noise Reduction

• Noise Reduction technology is key to all good hearing aids and Unitron’s ability to reduce background noise is excellent. It is an essential technology that is in all their tech levels.

How does the remote fitting work for Unitron?

Unitron’s software allows for remote fine tuning with limited functionality.

1. Purchase the hearing aids.

2. Unitron Hearing Aids REQUIRE a hearing test before we can ship them.

3. Send us your hearing test and we will pre-program the hearing aids.

4. We can fine tune your hearing aids remotely after you receive them.

5. We provide ongoing support via video, phone, text, and email.

Unitron’s remote adjustments are sent to your hearing aids via an app on your phone. It works really well for most adjustments but does not provide the full “in-office-like” video sessions offered by Phonak and ReSound.

• Optional Features:

  • R - Stands for Rechargeable (the smallest size)

  • RT - Stands for Rechargeable and Telecoil (a little larger)

  • 312 - Stands for size 312 battery (their non-rechargeable option)
