Health Care With A Smile

Today my wife went in for a minor surgery at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She had never had surgery before, and even though she has had five children, she was still very anxious. We checked in at the front desk and waited nervously in the lobby. The nurse that greeted us was friendly and kind, and she offered to carry our bags. I of course declined (I can schlep my own bags, don’t take away my man card), but it was a kind gesture. As we made our way down the hall, she worked to make Tan feel calm in a light-hearted, fun way. It seemed she was genuinely concerned that we were at ease and comfortable. My wife even said, “at least we got a nice nurse.”

One Person Can Make A Difference

It’s incredible how much one person, one kind act, can help to lift someone else. That nurse was only with us for a few minutes before the surgery, but she had such a positive impact. Kindness such as this isn’t purchased with a paycheck, and it can’t be described in a job description. It comes naturally from within the person. That’s why we are so fanatical about who we hire, and how they treat our customers. I couldn’t be more proud to work with Jane, Scott, and Allison, honestly some of the kindest people I know. When you come visit Pure Hearing, I know you’ll feel the same!
